Since December 15, 1988, O Parafuso – Hardware and Tools Trade is a landmark in São Brás de Alportel. Founded by Mr. Francisco Soares, his wife Maria Odete, and their eldest son Hélder Soares, the business was born from a desire to start over in Portugal after years of working in Africa. Later, their youngest son, Hugo Soares, also joined the company, which is now managed by both brothers and their wives, Sílvia and Daniela Soares.
