The São Brás de Alportel Philharmonic Band will perform on stage with a concert scheduled for next Saturday, October 25, at 5:30 pm, at the Jaime Pinto Cinema Theater, in São Brás de Alportel, with free admission.
With the aim of promoting the artistic and educational work developed by the Philharmonic, the concert also forms part of the celebrations of World Music Day, celebrating the band's role in training young musicians and promoting musical culture within the community.
The concert program includes original works and arrangements for philharmonic band, highlighting the interpretation of “First Suite in E♭ for Military Band, Op. 28, No. 1”, by British composer Gustav Holst — a fundamental piece in the repertoire of concert bands and considered one of the first serious compositions written for this formation.
This will also be a symbolic moment for the Band, which will once again perform at the Cine Teatro, reinforcing its commitment to local cultural life.
The initiative has the support of the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel and the Jaime Pinto Cinema Theater.”
