This year, the municipal program includes two additional grants for displaced students, awarded with a charitable contribution.
In this new academic year, the São Brás de Alportel Municipal Council continues its initiative to award scholarships to students from the municipality who are attending higher education.
These scholarships are intended for young people residing in the municipality, who are entering or attending higher education, with good results, and who belong to families with some financial difficulties.
The grants have a monthly monetary value of 1/5 of the national minimum wage.
This academic year, additional support will also be available for students displaced from the region, with the solidarity contribution of a benefactor, in the amount of €1,000, with priority given to students in the health field or other area of relevant importance to the community.
After approval at a Council meeting, the notice for applying for scholarships will be made available on the Municipality's website for consultation.
Applications for the award or renewal of grants can be submitted between November 1st and 30th, at the Community Support Center, where the Municipality's Social Services are located.
