The Faro Lions reached 10th place, a position they had not reached since 1995/1996
The Municipality of Faro congratulates and salutes Sporting Clube Farense for its continued promotion to the Portuguese First Division. Under the leadership of president João Barão Rodrigues and head coach José Mota, Sporting Clube Farense achieved its main objective this year, achieving a historic 10th-place finish, a position it had not achieved since the 1995/1996 season.
This success is the result of the hard work and unity of all the athletes, coaching staff, directors, staff, and members, to whom the Municipality extends its warmest congratulations. Throughout this season, as throughout its century-long history, Sporting Clube Farense has cemented itself as a source of pride and one of the greatest symbols of the city of Faro, both nationally and internationally.
The Municipality of Faro wishes Sporting Clube Farense all the best for the next season, where it will once again be, deservedly, in its rightful place, among the greatest in Portuguese football, and reiterates its support for the sports project, both at the level of professional football and at the level of other sports and training, where year after year it has proven to be a true gateway for many hundreds of young people in the municipality into the world of sport.
