The Municipality of Faro is holding a key event today, May 30th, dedicated to the future of the municipality's youth. The meeting, which will take place from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm in the main hall of the Town Hall, will mark the public presentation of the revised Faro Municipal Youth Plan and the final of the "Faro Next Generation" program ideas competition. The Faro Municipal Youth Plan is a strategic document that defines the guidelines and priorities for youth policies in the municipality. Its recent revision was developed through a participatory methodology, involving young people, municipal officials, and various community stakeholders, to ensure that the plan reflects the current needs, aspirations, and challenges of Faro's youth. This instrument aims to improve the well-being of young people and foster their active participation in society, aligning with the original mission of providing better conditions for their integral development.
Meanwhile, the "Faro Next Generation" program, promoted by Faro City Council in partnership with DYPALL Network, aims to empower the municipality's youth in entrepreneurship and innovation. Through a dynamic training program that included sessions on idea generation and structuring, communication and storytelling techniques, and project validation, the young people were challenged to transform their concepts into concrete proposals. The program aims to equip participants with essential skills to develop solutions to community challenges and take an active role in its future. This event will thus bring together the presentation of the results and guidelines of the revised Municipal Youth Plan, a fundamental milestone for the future of local policies in this area, and the culmination of the "Faro Next Generation 2025" program with the final presentation of the entrepreneurship projects developed by the participating youth teams before a jury.
This joint initiative reinforces Faro Municipality's commitment to creating a promising future for its young people, through the definition of concerted strategies and supporting the development of new ideas and projects with an impact on the community.
