The Municipality of São Brás de Alportel once again dedicates the month of March to the Feminine Universe with the program of activities “March, Month of Women” that aims to honor all the women who throughout time have been fighting for equal rights and opportunities for all and for a more inclusive and fair society.
The Dr. Estanco Louro Municipal Library has the exhibition “Feminine Resistance” on display until March 28, showcasing some women who made history for their determination and resistance to the dictatorial regime of the Portuguese New State.
The feminine universe is once again the topic of conversation in the "Aqui entre nós" (Here Among Us) series of gatherings, which returns to the Municipal Gallery on the 15th at 9:30 pm, with the theme: "Women Who Wear Pants." A moment to share testimonies from women who dared to live ahead of their time.
On the 23rd, the Women's Health Conversation Cycle will be held at the Municipal Library to discuss menopause. This free session, open to the general public, will be led by Anne Gompel, a specialist in gynecological endocrinology.
You're also invited to stop by the lobby of the São Brás Cineteatro Jaime Pinto until March 31st to see the painting exhibition "World of Fantasy" by Rita Relego. The artist creates primarily feminine figures, free and full of expressiveness.
