The Municipality of Loulé will participate, between the 14th and 16th of October, in the 6th Core Meeting of the European Network “One Health 4 Cities”, which will take place in Benissa, Spain.
The meeting will bring together representatives from several European cities, including Munich, Lyon, Lahti, Elefsina, Kuopio, Strasbourg, Suceava and Benissa, with the aim of sharing best practices and strengthening networking within the scope of the “One Health 4 Cities” project, an initiative that promotes sustainable, healthy and integrated urban policies.
The Loulé delegation will participate in the “Local Impact for Network Cities and Cluster Learnings” session, where they will present the work developed in the municipality and share best practices in the area of informal sports, highlighting the role that accessible, spontaneous and community-based physical activity can play in promoting urban health and well-being.
The Loulé experiences highlight the importance of creating vibrant, inclusive, and safe public spaces that encourage sports outside of formal settings, bringing different generations together, and promoting healthy lifestyles.
During the meeting, participants will also have the opportunity to learn about local projects in Benissa, strengthening the practical and collaborative dimension of the network.
Loulé's presence at this event reinforces the municipality's commitment to social innovation, sustainability and urban health, as well as to sharing knowledge and experiences among European cities committed to promoting healthier and more resilient communities.
