The Municipality of Faro was present, for the first time, at the Feria de los Pueblos, the tenth edition of which took place from 3 to 5 October in Granada, Spain.
The event, which took place at the Feria de Muestras de Armilla (Fermasa) in that city, stood out as a privileged space for the promotion of tourist destinations, culture, gastronomy and rural tourism, bringing together an average of around 40 thousand visitors over the three days of the event.
With this participation, Faro had the opportunity to promote its main tourism products, particularly its natural heritage, historical heritage, gastronomy, and nautical tourism, through the distribution of specialized tourist information and direct contact initiatives with the attendees. The presence of a dedicated Municipal space allowed visitors from neighboring Andalusia to learn about the municipality's riches, reinforcing the City Council's promotional efforts among a geographically close consumer audience.
This participation is part of a strategy of internationalization and expansion of tourism markets for Faro, which seeks to consolidate itself as a reference destination not only for national visitors, but also for its Spanish neighbors, who can travel to the capital of the Algarve to discover heritage, gastronomic, nature, and differentiated cultural tourism experiences.
