Carnival promises excitement and revelry in the municipality of Faro, with events for all tastes and ages. Club Farense and the D. Leonor Outdoor Activities Center in Bordeira will be the main venues for the festivities on March 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
The festivities kick off on Friday, March 1st, with the Grand Carnival Ball at Club Farense, scheduled for 10:00 pm. Entertainment will be provided by Banda do Savinho, and revelers will also have the opportunity to participate in the mask contest, which will award prizes to the three best costumes of the night.
On Saturday, March 2nd, the Carnival spirit arrives in Bordeira with a lively parade and mask contest at the D. Leonor Outdoor Activities Center, starting at 3:00 pm. At 5:00 pm, the festivities continue with a concert by the band "La Plante Mutante," followed at 8:00 pm by a grand dance led by Cristiano Martins.
The celebrations continue until Sunday, March 3rd, with another Carnival ball in Bordeira, this time featuring a performance by the group Tokisom, starting at 9:30 pm. Admission to all events in Bordeira is free, ensuring a fun-filled weekend for the entire community.
With plenty of music, dance, and creativity, the Faro and Bordeira Carnival promises to be one of the region's most lively events, inviting locals and visitors alike to celebrate this festive season with joy and color.
