Housing deeds in Olhão

The first three deeds for the controlled-cost housing have already been signed.

The first three deeds for apartments sold by the Municipality of Olhão at affordable prices, as part of the first phase of affordable housing, were signed yesterday in the Municipality's Main Hall. The first keys have been handed over to the new owners.

Happiness was the dominant feeling on the day that marked the beginning of a new phase of this process, which will soon allow more than 50 families to live in brand new homes, with quality construction and finishes, and acquired at prices much lower than those charged on the real estate market.

The deeds, signed by notary Ângela Relvas, were attended by the Mayor, António Miguel Pina, who acted as a representative of the Municipality, the buyers and the representatives of the bank that financed these three acquisitions.

This process began with the opening of a municipal competition for the allocation of housing under a controlled-cost sales regime, with buyers then selected at random from all applicants. Yesterday, after construction and several necessary legal procedures, the day arrived for Joana, Eduardo, and Cátia to sign the long-awaited deed of sale for their first home.

More deeds will be signed in the coming weeks, now that all the apartments are finished and their future owners have been to see them in detail.
