In June, the month kicks off with a big celebration of cinema, produced and spoken in Italian.
The Italian Film Festival arrives in Loulé after having been in Lisbon, with the support of the Italian Embassy and the Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual, in a nationwide initiative. In addition to cinema, the Festival promotes music, literature, art, and gastronomy. That's why there are films on the 1st and 2nd, Saturday and Sunday, but the second day is "special," as in addition to the cinema, there's also the opportunity to participate in a dinner featuring Italian cuisine. On the 7th, in Quarteira, at the Church of S. Pedro do Mar, a concert will be held outside the venue but is part of the CTL program. Isabel Vaz and Vasco Dantas, two great classical musicians and organizers of the Algarve Music Series festival, will perform a duet on cello (Isabel Vaz) and piano (Vasco Dantas). Isabel and Vasco emphasize interpreting Portuguese composers whenever possible in their performances, contributing to the promotion of Portuguese culture at home and abroad. The concert starts at 9:00 pm and admission is free.
