World Children's Day is celebrated throughout June 1st in Quarteira. The event, which takes place on Rua Vasco da Gama, features several free activities for young children.
At Largo do Centro Autárquico, participants will be able to travel through the world of
fantasy with the Storyteller Hänsel and Gretel, at 10:45 am and 3:00 pm, and watch
to two sessions of the play “The Extraordinary Memory of an Elephant”, one to
take place at 11:30 am and the other at 3:45 pm. Children can also participate in the
introductory theater workshop, at 12:00 pm and 4:15 pm in the Auditorium of the Center
Local government. The three initiatives are promoted by the Teatro do Eléctrico company.
Inflatables, a glitter bar and craft workshops will be available until 6:00 p.m.

The celebration of World Children's Day is organized by the Parish Council of
Quarteira with the support of Loulé City Council.
