Depression Ciarán passed through mainland Portugal, especially in the North and Central regions
Depression Ciarán caused extensive damage, primarily falling trees and structures, in mainland Portugal, particularly in the North and Central regions. According to Civil Protection, nearly a thousand incidents associated with the severe weather were recorded.

In Porto, a large tree fell in Praça da República, causing damage to vehicles and a bus stop, as well as cutting off roads. In the district of Aveiro, strong winds ripped off a building's roof, but caused no injuries or displaced people.
According to Civil Protection, 885 of these occurrences were recorded, 457 were recorded in the North, 305 in the Center, 104 in Lisbon and Tagus Valley, 15 in Alentejo and four in Algarve.

Requests for assistance during this period were related to 630 fallen trees, 153 collapsed structures, 80 floods, 59 road cleanings and 12 landslides.
