Faro City Council approves launch of public tender for creation of accessible circuit in Vila Adentro.
On Monday, at a council meeting, the Faro Municipality approved the launch of a public tender for the construction of an accessible tourist circuit in Vila Adentro and Largo D. Afonso III. The project will have a base cost of €1,149,530.06, plus VAT, and a 540-day completion period.
With this project, the Municipality aims to enhance the full enjoyment of Vila Adentro and its points of interest, regardless of the physical and sensory capabilities of those visiting this prime tourist area of the city. The project will create better accessibility and mobility conditions for all, connecting facilities and points of interest, improving the quality of public spaces, and providing them with conditions for leisure, recreational, and cultural activities through the installation of street furniture and the adaptation of infrastructure, which will be fully connected to the adjacent buildings.
The assignment of this intervention will be subject to obtaining approval from the Court of Auditors.
