This Saturday, July 26, the Jardim da Alameda João de Deus, in Faro, will once again be the stage for another special edition of Alameda Viva 2025, this time dedicated to all grandparents and grandchildren.
Under the motto "To the Garden with Grandparents," the initiative invites entire families to share an unforgettable afternoon, between 5:00 pm and 8:00 pm, with free entry.
With a diverse program, the event aims to promote interaction between generations, valuing the memories and knowledge of the elderly, through playful, cultural and creative moments.
Among the highlights of the program are the workshops “Bamboo Flute Construction”, “Wood Sculpture and Engraving”, and also the workshop “The Grandmothers' Tree”, led by Anabela Afonso and Jeannine Trévidic, especially aimed at children aged 10 and over (accompanied by an adult).
The atmosphere will be enriched with the "Embroidering Memories" exhibition, storytelling in the "Take and Give" space, and the "Photographic Memories of Grandparents and Grandchildren" section. There will also be plenty of entertainment with the inflatable "Adventure at Sea," musical moments featuring the ARPI Singing Group, Afonso Dias with his "Street Songs," and the Faro Children's Folklore Group, concluding the day with the energy of tradition.
The event is part of the Alameda Viva programming cycle, which will also take place on August 9th and 23rd, September 6th and 20th, and October 4th and 18th, always in the Jardim da Alameda João de Deus.
Come celebrate family bonds and build new memories outdoors, in a garden full of life and joy!
